It's been a while!
My first official remix
Hello friends,
It's been a while since the last newsletter. It's been a busy season. I started a new job, moved cities, got engaged 🥳, Oasis got back together, so I wasn't quite sure on how to fit Ekagrata amongst all these other things. I also haven't been playing music as much as I'd like. I mean, I've been doing it for my job, but not so much for myself. For those who don't know me, I work as a music composer and sound designer mostly for commercials. If you are crazy enough to wanna watch more ads than you already unsolicitedly do, you are welcome to check out my portfolio.
In the previous newsletter I shared with you a cover I made of “Seven Nation Army” with Pedro León. So on that note I wanted to share with you a playlist I made with songs I think match the murky vibe of this cover. I made it for Tidal and Spotify. If you have any suggestions of tunes to add, please send them over!
Even though making new music has been scarce, I am very excited to share that I will be releasing my first official remix this Friday, the 20th! Last year I worked on the debut album of Brazilian indie band “Cartas pra Sofia”, and one day during recording sessions a big coincidence happened which led to the production of this remix. I invite you to listen to the original song (before remixed) and pre-save the remix on your streaming platform, so you won't miss it on Friday. The song is called Considerare. You can listen to the original version here. And here is the pre-save link to the remix.
When you pre-save the remix, you'll come across its cover. I will talk more about it later, but I want to credit its maker Beto Galloni. He's kind of a big deal film director, so I was very thrilled he accepted my invite to make the cover art for this single. Thanks Beto!!
